This is an easy history art project to teach about the Berlin Wall during the Cold War. Students will read a paragraph about the history of the Berlin Wall and why it was built, look at a few pictures of the actual wall, and then design their own graffiti art. After, they will write a couple of sentences about what message their graffiti art was trying to convey. This is a very fun, no-prep, hands-on activity to teach The Cold War specifically from 1960-1990. Great for project-based learning.
This activity is designed for 3rd grade and up.
Homeschool or classroom use.
